Logix™ Basements Reduce CO2

If you compare 2 houses of the same living area, same heating systems etc, one built on 2 floors, and the other built over 3 floors including a basement, the house with basement will typically produce 15% less CO2.    A Logix wall which above ground has a U value of 0.23w/m2k, has a U value of 0.16 w/m2k when used in a basement.

Waterproofing your Basement

Basements built using LOGIX ICFs can be waterproofed in three ways; internally, externally and integrally, (i.e. make the structure itself waterproof).

Nearly all basements are built from reinforced concrete, either poured in between two block work walls, or into specialist formwork.    Swapping traditional heavy formwork for LOGIX insulated concrete forms has a number of benefits: The LOGIX forms are lighter and easier to work with, speeding up the build process and saving you money.
The webs inside LOGIX forms are designed to hold reinforcement without the need to tie the bars together, allowing the vertical bars to be placed after the wall is built.
